Snowshoe & Eat in Val di Rabbi
Experience a different, unique and unforgettable day in the wildest Trentino. Exit the chaos of the ski lifts, escape the queues and enter the new winter outdoor dimension made of silence, slowness and discovery.
We have created this new activity for you which includes a excursion with snowshoes + lunch in a mountain hut + descent on sledges.
The Val di Rabbi is a side valley of the Val di Sole, highly sought after and appreciated for the natural beauties it contains. Winter keeps it isolated and protected from large tourist flows and this is why we at Ursus particularly appreciate it.
For this reason we have created a different experience that combines a beautiful outdoor activity with a typical lunch in a malga that is a small and hidden jewel, Malga Fratte Bassa, managed by a family of true locals.
How will the day unfold? The meeting is set for 9.30 in the parking lot of the Rabbi cross-country center with the guide. There snowshoes and sticks will be distributed. After a small lesson in how to walk with snowshoes (which appears obvious but isn’t!) we will decide on the basis of the snow and environmental conditions whether to go up to the famous Tibetan bridge or go directly to Malga Fratte Bassa. There the Daprà family will welcome you and let you try their delicious dishes, where the territory emerges in all its essence. Once we have drunk the coffee we will then return with the sleds towards the parking lot. Warning: sledging is not guaranteed, it will depend on the snow and ice conditions. If it is not possible to do it, you will return on snowshoes to the cars. The return is expected around 2.30 pm
When can it be done? We have scheduled it every Friday but in the event of special needs or specific requests, we could consider carrying it out on other days as well.
How long? About 5 hours, from 9:30 to 14:30 but we are not there with the clock to check the minutes, we like to get lost and have fun
