Bear Track Adventure

Nature excursion in search of fauna in the wild and little frequented valleys in the northern region of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park, the favorite area of ​​the brown bear.

Equipped with binoculars and telescopes, you will go in search of the park’s animals in the early hours of the morning and in the evening, when the animals are easier to spot. A unique and unforgettable photo-trekking in the wildest areas of the Brenta Dolomites.

The area we will frequent is of great naturalistic value and far from the mass tourist flow. Along ancient paths, once used for the summer transhumance of cattle, we will reach some valleys hidden behind, a typical refuge for chamois.

The flora of this region is also very interesting, especially in the first part of summer, when the alpine meadows are filled with color during the flowering of many endemic species.

Thanks to the experience of the nature photographer we will be able to observe the fauna such as the eagle, the chamois, the woodpecker and many other animals that live in the park, carefully observing the tracks they leave as they pass.

With a little luck we will be able to photograph the animals, as well as the flora, suitable equipment is needed to photograph the animals from a distance. We can advise you to better organize your experience.

The activity is for all the curious and those who want to approach naturalistic observation for the first time as well as photography.

Program of 2 days and 1 night.

1st day

• 12:00 meeting at Rifugio Peller 2022m (reachable by car in 15min). Accommodation in the refuge, presentation of the programme, equipment briefing, ethics of the naturalist.
• Short evening excursion to get to know the environment of the area.
• Dinner in a refuge.
• After dinner, until sunset, go out to spot the fauna in the Nana Valley.
• Overnight stay in a refuge.

2nd day

• Wake up before dawn (5:00 am). With the equipment ready, we will continue along the paths to reach the areas frequented by the fauna. The route takes place on an E/EE type path with detours on tracks between shrubs and alpine meadows. We will set up at the right moments and points to search for and observe the fauna. With a little luck, we’ll be able to photograph it.
• Lunch break and return to the path visiting Lake Salàre, Passo della Nana and the splendid Karst plateau of Nana.
• Return to the cars scheduled for 2:00 pm.
